"I have a deep respect and love for these tiny humans, and I hope to convey in my images a measure of the beauty that exists in all children." - Anne Geddes Becoming a mother early in January 2010, has by far been the most rewarding thing I have ever done! There is nothing like the feeling you get when your little one looks into your eyes, and you know that you are their whole world. It is also by far the hardest thing I have ever done. But what makes it all worthwhile are those small moments in between the hard ones… the first smiles, the way their skin feels against your fingertips when you massage their tiny toes. When you try to put on your serious mommy face and they laugh at you as if you were a clown! It's these moments that make child and baby photography the most fulfilling part of what I do! I never know what to expect! Sometimes I start off thinking they're so friendly, and by the end of a session, they haven't smiled once for my “big-white-flashy-thing”. Then other times they’re hiding in their father’s armpits at first, but end up coming out of their shells within minutes. It's this unpredictability and spontaneity that has always drawn me to photographing "little people". With them, there’s no such thing as posing. There's only what they want to do. And of course, what they don't!
