As a young woman, my father always said to me “Find something that you love, and choose that as your profession… that way you’ll never have to work a day in your life!” So that’s what I did. Photography is timeless. It somehow tells the truth, while bending it at the same time.

It allows someone to share a piece of their core with you, and at the same time, allows them to merge with a piece of yours. It is painting a picture with the emotion of a moment’s memory, and then telling the story without saying a single word. It is the art of extracting and capturing the essence of life!

Candice Bekker resides in Blouberg, Cape Town with her family. She studied photography at the College of Cape Town, and has built up her own business as a freelance photographer over the past 8 years.

She has always been very creative and passionate about art, especially painting and photography, and believes that you never stop learning or growing as you do either.

As Imogen Cunningham so perfectly put it - "Which of my photographs is my favorite? The one I’m going to take tomorrow."
